Jason Christopher Hull

Obituary
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Jason Christopher Hull passed away from an apparent heart attack in early January in his home in Indianapolis. He was born on Jan. 16, 1971, in Lancaster, Wis., the youngest child of Leo Hull and Mary Jane Liegel-Hull. Jason attended elementary school in Fennimore and graduated from Dodgeville High School with the Class of 1989.
As a talented football player, Jason started playing in 5th grade and received all-conference honors and was a lifelong Badgers and Packers fan. He shared his love of the game by coaching youth football for several years. Jason was very talented academically. He was a National Merit Scholar and was a national level competitor for the Future Business Leaders of America and DECA programs, earning many achievement awards. He served as an advisor for DECA at Mount Horeb High School and as a regional judge for several years. Jason attended Milwaukee School of Engineering on scholarship and the University of Wisconsin. His brother helped him learn to read before going to kindergarten and he became an avid reader with a wealth of information in his head. You did not want to play "Trivial Pursuit" against him. Jason loved medieval fiction and played "Dungeons and Dragons" with on-line groups. He had a great sense of humor, although his quick and witty retorts would often have been more wisely reconsidered. Jason excelled in computer science with many software certifications and was an electronic "whiz." He was always willing to help anyone with computer problems, with very few he could not solve. He was a valued computer network specialist and, even when illness challenged advancement opportunities, he remained a reliable and dedicated employee. His friends in Indianapolis were people who deeply cared about each other and were always there for him. Jason loved animals and shared his home with many pets over the years.
Jason is survived by his parents, Leo and Mary Jane; his sister, Jane (Billy) Nixon of Mount Horeb and their children, Alistair and Zachary Alesch; and his brother, Daniel (Ayu) of Beaverton, Ore., and their children, Jayden and Dylan.
His family was always proud of his many achievements. They called him "Piggle" after a character in one of his favorite childhood books. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be held at ST. IGNATIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 109 S. Sixth St., Mount Horeb, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, with Father Chahm Gahng presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. A private burial will be held.

I will always remember you fondly. If I had a problem with my computer at work you were right there to help me. I enjoyed our talks to and from work when we rode together and trips to Kroger for pop and cat food lol. Rip my friend 😇

Jason I have many fond memories of the times I spent with you and your family, weather it was learning to shoot guns in the back yard, hiking and canoeing at the state park in dodgeville or watching the Packers beat the Lions on Thanksgiving. You will be missed by many.
