Elaine Ardelle Anderson

I met Elaine when I moved into Sauk Gardens seven years ago. She was so welcoming and gracious sharing her delicious baked goods! Whenever my young grandson Evan came to visit she provided him with a variety of cookies and he always told her she was the best baker in the world. Our hallway played trivia games and Elaine always knew all the answers! When my husband died three years ago Elaine was such a comfort to me. She was very dear and will be greatly missed!

When I was in my senior year of high school, my dog Sheena ran away. She was gone for several days and I was heartbroken. (Back then there was no social media to search for your pet.) Sheena had wandered south of town and Elaine and her husband were caring for her for several days until they figured out whose dog it was (I can't remember how we connected) Apparently she was hit by a car just south of Clearbrook and they did their best to minister to her needs. I remember as a student seeing Elaine in school and thinking what a kind lady she was and was so glad my dog had wandered there! We were grateful for their act of kindness. My sincere condolences on your loss.
