We were shocked when we heard the news that Todd had passed. He was too young for his life on earth to come to an end. We have not seen Todd for quite a few years because we live out of state. We have fond memories of Todd and his sister, Rene, from when they were young and we all gathered at Grandma and Grandpa Biwersi's house for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. We recall that Todd took up an interest in hunting and fishing at an early age, in his teens. These pastimes were something that he could spend time talking about with Grandpa Biwersi. Todd and Dale shared a similar interest in WWII history, especially the European theater. This interest was driven by the war time experiences of Grandpa Lester Biwersi. Lester landed at Omaha Beach in June 1944, participated in the liberation of Paris in August 1944, fought his way across France and Belgium, only to be taken prisoner during the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. Lester then spent the remainder of the war as a POW in Stalag IV-B near Leipzig, Germany. Lester shared his painful experiences with only a handful of people and only on a one-to-one basis. It can only be guessed how much of the experience he shared with Todd. Todd revered his Grandpa Biwersi. When Lester died in September 1990, we all gathered at the family home. Todd wanted to be well dressed for the funeral and wanted to wear a tie but he was not accustomed to tying one. Dale helped Todd by standing behind him and tying the tie around Todd's shirt collar for him. We know Todd was very appreciative of that help. Lester's funeral was a memorable and moving military send off. We are pleased that Todd was able to participate in the way that he chose that day. Rest in Peace, Nephew Uncle Dale and Aunt Thomasine (Tinker) Thompson

Todd and I were in Mrs. Kuzniki's 4th grade class in Beaver Dam, when the class was in one of those portable buildings. Todd and I got in ALOT of trouble together, not the least of which was when he and I made swastika armbands and wore them to school. We didn't know WTH they were, we just thought they looked cool. It did not end well. Todd was a good dude.
