Dear Lybeck Family, As you know, Dennis worked for the Village of Shorewood Hills for 22 years, retiring as Public Works Crew Chief in 2014. Denny always greeted Village residents with a smile. He knew the infrastructure of this Village like the back of his hand, and could tell you exactly where the bumps in the road were to avoid when plowing, or where the quirky sanitary pipes were, or where the last three Village water pipe fractures were each winter. Denny was my daughters bus driver! He always pulled up with a smile and called her by name! He had such a big heart and we loved seeing him everyday! He will be truly missed by so many kids. I’ve heard from older kids that he was the best bus driver they ever had. We totally agree! Our deepest condolences to his family!
