Obituary
MADISON - Gary G. Osborn, age 67, of Madison, passed away after a short illness on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at UW Hospital and Clinics. He was born on Jan. 11, 1953, the son of Arthur and Vivian (Mortimer) Osborn. Gary grew up on a farm near Cazenovia and was surrounded by a large and loving family.
Gary graduated from Reedsburg High School with the class of 1971. He proudly served in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne as a paratrooper. Gary graduated from Herzing College in Electronics. As a young man, he began working for G.I. Supply and was proud of his 30 years of commitment to them. Gary enjoyed spending time and hunting with his brothers at his farm near Mauston, where he enjoyed gardening.
Gary is survived by two sisters, Gloria (David) Conrad and Susan Stellmach; six brothers, Maynard Mortimer, Wayne (Linda) Osborn, Larry (Ginger) Osborn, Robert (Pam) Osborn, Scott (Sherry) Osborn and Kent (Karla) Osborn; significant other, Michele Williams; and special friend, Denise Williams and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Osborn; mother, Vivian Wiers; step-father, Ray Wiers; brother-in-law, James Stellmach; and sister, Linda Osborn.
A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. A private family burial will be held in the spring. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
