Obituary

MAZOMANIE/SOUTH CAROLINA - Patricia Ann Drabenstadt, age 84, passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 13, 1935, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of Herbert and Elsie Pearl (Walton) Gordon. Patricia graduated from high school in Camp Hill, Pa. in 1953, and then from Lebanon Valley College of Annville, Pa. in 1957. While in college there, she had the opportunity to sing for President Eisenhower with her college chorus group. She married her high school sweetheart, Fred Drabenstadt, on Aug. 24, 1957. Patricia worked in the medical field for 38 years as a medical technologist, including time at the University of Wisconsin Research and at American Red Cross where she later retired. She enjoyed gardening and baking, but her favorite thing to do was spending time at Surfside Beach, S.C. with her family and friends. Patricia is survived by her sons, Douglas (Teresa) Drabenstadt and Scott (Kristina) Drabenstadt; and three grandchildren, Moriah Drabenstadt, Lee Roy Drabenstadt and Hilda Mae Drabenstadt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Linda Hatfield. Per Patricia's request there will be no services. My condolences to the Drabenstadt family. I worked with Pat at the American Red Cross. She always made the job fun and loved to tell stories. She will be surely missed!

Sorry to hear about Pat's passing. The Drabenstadt family is in my thoughts and prayers. Pat was a great person and had a good sense of humor. I always enjoyed the time I spent talking with her. Pat and her husband Fred always made me feel like family. Her spirit will be missed by many!
