Obituary
MOUNT HOREB - Tiffany Rae Olson, age 38, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at UW Hospital from complications of a cerebral hemorrhage. She was born on Aug. 7, 1981, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of William and Donna (Grim) Olson. Tiffany graduated from Mount Horeb High School and attended UW-Green Bay and Madison Area Technical College (MATC). She proudly worked for Mount Horeb Area School District in food service.
Tiffany adored her daughters, who were the light of her life. She loved spending time outdoors whenever she could and enjoyed golfing, canoeing and camping. She was passionate about gymnastics and competed with her team at state finals. Most of all, she loved her family and friends and always looked forward to having get-togethers with them.
Tiffany is survived by her daughters, Tessa and Ella, and their father, John Soppe; her parents, William and Donna; brother, Eric (Jill Biggin); niece, Raelynn; nephews, Cullen and Olin; many loving aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and many friends who will miss her dearly.
Services will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO MOUNT HOREB FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. Eighth St., Mount Horeb, at 5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, with her uncle, Pastor Russ Grim, presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the start of the service on Monday.
We greatly appreciate the loving support from family and friends and the professional and compassionate care from the UW Hospital staff and the Gunderson Funeral Home team.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Tessa and Ella Soppe at State Bank of Cross Plains at the Mount Horeb branch. Cards and notes can be directed to Tiffany’s parents or to the funeral home.

My heart broke when I learned of Tiffany’s passing. Sadly, it’s been years since we’ve talked, but the memories of all the fun we had seems like yesterday. She was such a strong leader for us MH Viking gymnasts. Her encouraging words before every meet always left her team feeling motivated to do well. She left such a lasting impression on me and many of her teammates. She will be missed by so many.

I was in shock when I heard the news. I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so glad we got to know her and her mom and dad while watching high school gymnastics. Tiff was such a sweet girl with lots of energy and love to give. Words can not express how sad we are. Unfortunately we are in Florida and will not be able to attend any of her services but know that we we are thinking of and praying for your family and will be there in spirit. You have our deepest sympathy. Terry & Kathy Kurth

Tiffany was. I hate that I’m spending so much time thinking about that word “was.” It’s not fair. I have sat here on and off for a few days thinking about you. I think it has been 20 years since I last saw you, lady. It’s hard to wrap my mind around this all. I’m most sad for your girls and your family. I cannot imagine the pain they are feeling right now with your absence. Even over time, I can remember your smile, always there and constant. You were so even and calm even when we found ourselves losing a game and I was melting down. You were kind to everyone and you cared about everyone you spoke to and they could feel that instantly. You were younger than me, but I always, always looked up to you and admired your athletic abilities and the way in which you handled yourself on the softball field, confident, strong, brave. I'd never want to be up to bat with bases loaded and two on--and you didn't mind one bit. You gave us all hope on and off the field with your optimistic look at life.
Even with only our Facebook conversations or watching your girls grow and change through a screen, I still felt connected to you and now I’ve got this shadow on my heart and life seems so much darker. My love and hugs to your girls, Eric, Jill, and niece and nephews, your mom and dad and your entire family and friends. I will head to the bank next week and put some money in their account even though I know they’d much rather have you here and it won't be enough to bring you back. I feel honored to have met you and honored to have gotten the chance to know you and spend time with you on and off the field, and I am so saddened that you are no longer here on Earth. I’ll see you upstairs, though, and I’ll slug your arm and say “too soon, lady, what was the rush?” And whenever I’m at Grundahl, I will smile and think of you and all the good times we had cheering each other on. Thank you for the memories. Behave up there!
