Carol P. Williams

MADISON-Carol P. Williams, age 72, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2019. She was born in Evergreen Park, Ill. to the late Rose and Leo Panozzo in 1947. Carol obtained several degrees in her life starting with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois in 1968, a Master of Education from the University of Illinois in 1971 and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1988. She retired from her role as a Senior IT Auditor at WPS Health Insurance in Madison in 2012. Prior to working at WPS, Carol held several roles ranging from Programmer Analyst at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to elementary school teacher in Austin, Texas. Despite her busy schedule, family was Carol’s true passion and delight in life with her love of animals (especially dogs!) a close second. She was also an avid gardener and loved working in the backyard in the summer. Carol absolutely adored her three grandchildren and would spoil them any chance she got! The grandchildren loved visiting her house as she always had food and fun activities awaiting them when they arrived. Carol is survived by her son, Tom (Stephanie); brother, Don Panozzo (Susan); three grandchildren, Bryce, Braden and Isabella; and a number of other loving relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held in the spring/summertime frame; details will be forthcoming.
