Brenda and Karla and family: I am sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I have fond memories of working with your mom and spending some times together with both of your parents after their retirement. May you find comfort in the memories you all shared as a family. Nora DeBruin

I knew and worked for Phil for 40 years. He knew how to bring out the best in people. He was successful and encouraged his subordinates to be successful. Our condolences to his family. Don & Cherie Bayer, Minocqua, Wi.

Brenda & Karla, Your Dad and I were best friends from the 1st grade at St Francis Catholic grade school thru graduating from Merrill, high school. We even joined the Army together in June 1961. So sorry for your loss. Also sorry we never reconnected in later years other than a few class reunions. Also remember your mother and friend Joyce so well. A beautiful lovely lady Joe Day

I am very sad to learn of Phil's passing. My wife and I first met Phil and Joyce back in 2002 through our Sister and Brother-in-law, Ed and Joni Gschwind, and I was blessed to get to know Phil after both Joyce and Ed had passed. As nearly neighbors in Fish Creek, we started a weekly Thurs. am coffee group and as the group grew larger, Phil was surrounded by a growing group of friends. We spent time on the water in his boat, met his favorite granddaughter and even took her flying from Gibraltar to Green Bay for lunch. We spent many happy hours together and I helped Phil with his computer issues as well. When he moved to Menasha we helped in the disposal of unwanted stuff in his garage. He loaned me his best cane when I had ankle surgery. I could on and on, but the bottom line, we were "good friends" in his own words in a note I received from him over a year ago. God rest his soul and look forward to seeing him again in the future.
