Jeff Smoller. Remembering Ron from his days at the Cap Times, Press Connection and....even the DNR where he was instrumental in motivating SE Wisconsin residents to get their cars inspected for emissions because....there's a strangler loose. Not something you could do in today's public relations climate but got the job back then he said at a Stu Levitan book signing with a twinkle in his eye. Of course the DNR is where he met a certain person who later became governor.
