John, I am so sorry to learn of the death of your wife Jane. It is good that you and she had your lovely time together, but it was way too short. I will be thinking of you at this difficult time.

Although years separated us, Jane was a dear friend when I lived in Barneveld and later in Madison. She was a pure soul and one of the best among us. You couldn’t know Jane without loving her. Those who knew her were lucky to have her in their lives. My heart goes out to her family, to Erikke and Tanner, and to sister Karen for your loss.
