Robert Schlegel

Bob was our dear friend and we so enjoyed our dinners together either out pn the town or in our home. He loved our dogs and would always bring them treats and would say, "Give the boys a pet for me".

As my cool older cousin, Bob introduced me to the business world when I went to work in Schlegel's Grocery Store. I grew up on a farm, but Bob taught me that in the store you have to make the customers happy. Not so much with those cows. The thing I remember most about Bob was his wonderful sense of humor. He always seemed to have a new joke, sometimes corny, but always funny. I also remember and loved playing up on the hill behind the store in Clyman. Bob was a great guy, and I'll miss not seeing him again.

I'd always wondered who put abandoned grocery items back where they belonged! Thanks for maintaining order, Uncle Bob. Without you, it would have been chaos : )

Worked with Bob for many years at OM. Was a very good guy, worked hard but still managed to find the time for fun. We used to call him “Bob a loo” miss you Bob.
