Linda and Steve and family Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss. It’s been many years but Linda always spoke fondly of her father and had great stories about how well he treated people. I have continued to hear compliments of the great business man in Oregon that treated people like his family. Love and prayers, Stephanie and Chase

My memory of Bill is that he was a kind and gentle person. He was always at the grocery store busy doing something that needed attention. He always made time for you is you needed to speak with him. My fondest memory is his walking through the store, smiling and talking to whoever wished to speak with him and always always rubbing his hands. He was warm and kind and always remembered your name. Always happy to except a hug too. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Family of Wonderful Bill, I worked at Bill's Supermarket in Madison in either 1972 or 1973 when I was in high school. I remember how happy I was that he was so kind and relaxed when he interviewed me for a job (because I was so nervous!) and then how thrilled I was when he hired me. I was delighted to be working for such a wonderful man. He took such interest in his employees and his customers (I remember discussing my college applications with him). Bill greeted his customers by name and became a beloved member of the Shorewood Hills neighborhood. It was an honor and a privilege to be one of his employees. I have remembered him so fondly all of these years. Please know that I hold you in my heart at this time and send you my deepest sympathy. Barb (Besadny) Roeber
