MADISON / FALL RIVER - Joyce A. “Joy” Guilmette, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026, at The Villa at Middleton Village. She was born on January 17, 1947, in Beaver Dam, Wis., the daughter of Reuben and Josephine (Nowak) Salzman.
Joy graduated from Fall River High School in 1965. She then went on to earn a teaching degree from UW-Whitewater. Joy worked as a teacher for many years. She was a devout Catholic who kept God’s presence in her everyday life.
Joy faced many challenges in her life but if you were the one facing challenges or issues in your life, she would be there to help you find answers to solve them or ways to face them. She was loved and will be missed!
Joyce is survived by her brothers, Randy Salzman, Mark Salzman and Richard (Ethel) Salzman; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Reuben; and brother, James Salzman.
