Lyle was my first boss as an air technician in the Wisconsin National Guard. He was the SPMO (as the position was termed back then) and he hired me as his EEO. Always straightforward, he told me that I was not his first choice, but that he hired me anyway because he saw that I was flexible and a quick study. He was right in that judgement as in so many others. I learned more about the human resources enterprise under his tutelage than I did under any of his successors. Thanks to his coaching and his patience, I developed the knowledge that would eventually see me become SPMO (or HRO as it was later termed). I shall always be grateful to Lyle. He helped so many Guard members over the years that I am sure I am not the only one grateful to him.

The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Lyle Reynolds. We are thankful for his military service and proud to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. on September 13, 2014. As a friend of Toni's, I'm sincerely sorry for your family's loss. I always enjoyed Toni and Mark's Christmas events and visiting with such a close loving family. Wishing peace for your family.
