MADISON - Ronald Lee Thomas, age 67, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at Belmont Nursing Home. He was born on Sept. 17, 1952, in Gary, Ind., the son of Christine Kelley and Benny Thomas. Ronald spent his life in Gary, Ind. until his mid thirties when he and his siblings decided to relocate to Madison, Wis. for a better way of life. He always wanted the best for his siblings. Ronald shared a very close and unique bond with each one of them. He loved to spend quality time with his family. Family meant everything to him. He loved to sing to his nieces and nephews and tell them past time stories. Ronald was a great cook and had such a good soulful voice that could ease your mind. His two daughters, Sherice and Leeann were the lights in his eyes. He loved them unconditionally and was a great father. Ronald’s knowledge ran deep and he was one of the wisest men you could ever meet. Ronald will be sorely missed. Ronald is survived by his sisters, Bennie Thomas and Kimberly (James) Travis; brother, Andrew Jackson (Karen); ex-wife, Patricia; two daughters, Leeann (Roc) and Sherice; and a host of grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Kelley; father, Benny Thomas; brother, William “Dub” Kelley; sister, Carolyn Thomas; brother, Mark Moore; and his grandson, Justin Lee. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.
