Douglas Wayne Morrissette

The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Douglas Morrissette. We are thankful for his military service and proud to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. on April 22, 2017.

your Dad was surrounded by a bunch of women who enjoyed his company...some prayed, some held his hand and spoke a word of reassurance, some covered him up and some stood by respectfully....then the firetruck came and we wished him a safe journey,,,,Wednesday am shift at Agrace

Doug will be remembered as a good friend and neighbor for many years. He was a man of service--in the military, the DNR, and the town/city of Fitchburg. Doug is to be commended and remembered for all the good that he did. Mike and Susan Thompson

I had the pleasure of serving as one of Doug's Alders on city council while he was Mayor of Fitchburg. We tackled some tough issues at the time, and he had a vision for the city and a commitment to make Fitchburg better for all residents. Personally he was a good man....and I appreciated his friendship very much.
