To all the family...my deepest sympathies! Wonderful memories of "Ma" while I worked at the Beach House. Her "made from scratch" soups were absolutely amazing (some of my favorites were the turkey noodle, cheeseburger, and of course the best clam chowder in Dane County!) You wouldn't believe how quickly her clam chowder would disappear on Friday nights (even in the heat of the summer). Many times I would ask for her recipes on Thursday mornings, while she was mixing together her "magic"....she would just smile at me & point to her head....obviously secret recipes that she would only know.
