Judy and I grew up 2 miles apart and spent many hours together. Our mothers were in Sunshine Club together and we would play when our mothers visited. We were majorettes together and my mom made out our white corduroy outfits. We played music together. We were flute and clarinet players along with Gayle Kaanta Bradley on bassoon and Pat Ovren Demoe on oboe. We also played flute and piano together. Judy’s dad raised chickens. I painted a watercolor chick named Fred and sent it to her. I still have her voicemail response on my phone. Judy, I love you and will miss you. I am so glad we got to talk last month. John and I were both colleagues and friends of Judy. Judy and I started our careers together at Sun Prairie High School right out of college. I have always admired her strength through all of the health problems that she faced. She will be missed.

Scott and Jeff, As you know, we were blessed to have first met your mom, as a neighbor, over 24 years ago, and to have loved her ever since! My family, John, Lydia, Caleb and me, my mom and dad, and several of my aunts and uncles have wonderful memories of time with your mom, and have all heard many stories about you, her beloved boys! We will all miss Judy, her wit, her spirituality, and her strength and determination fiercely!

Dear Jeff and Scott So sad to hear of your mothers passing... much too young. We will always cherish our trip to DisneyWorld with you and Judy. How old were you Jeff?? 10? I can see us all sitting around the big table in the Japanese Restaurant enjoying the chef's performance. I had just found Judy on Facebook not too long ago but regret not making the effort to get together in person. Our prayers are with you two during this very sorrowful time. Take care.
