MIDDLETON- William James “Bill” Wylie, age 90, of Middleton, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on July 5, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., the son of William Henry and Mae Pearl (Schuller) Wylie.
Bill served in the U.S. Army post the Korean War. He received his bachelor’s degree and his juris doctorate degree from Kent College. Bill was united in marriage to Kathleen Waldock Bakerdis on Jan. 9, 2001, in Geneva, Ill.
Bill worked as an attorney for William J. Wylie & Associates, retiring in 2016. He was a member of the Bar Association of DuPage County.
Bill was a sport enthusiast and enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks. He was also a fan of John Wayne.
Bill is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Christina (Dan) Rotert; son, William B. Wylie; grandsons, Zachary Rotert and Jarrett Rotert; and granddaughters, Dana Rotert and Kellyann Wylie. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Barara and Alice.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
