Mark my heart is breaking when you left you said you would see me I a couple week. So many memories over the past 7 years. Everyday with you or phone call holds a memory. To his kids and family I know you already know but he loved you so much. I will miss our talks your smile and twinkling eyes. You cared so much with that big heart. I could write so much more but since this is my 3rd attempt I will gladly share memories with the kids or family I'm available anytime With much love and prayers.

I just heard of Mark's passing. Mark and I hung out early years of high school. I remember well his trip to Miami for the Jets (Joe Namath ) victory over Baltimore Colts. Forget if I was supposed to go with him or not. Remember we talked about it and he had called me. He got in a little bit of trouble with Doc if I remember right. :-). Some very good memories with Mark, most can't mention, most can't remember but I do remember the neighbor gal sneaking out to Mark and I a bottle of her dad's Imperial Whiskey. We got soooooo sick. I have never drank whiskey since and I think Mark may have had his stomach pumped. Anyway, I forget. Crap wish I could have been at his memorial and worse that he's gone. I sure liked him. Hell of a good guy. Smart to. Rest in peace buddy. Love ya

Just Googled his name for shits and giggles and find this! He and I and Billy Clark grew up from kindergarten on. Yeah, he ran away to see the Super Bowl, but when Doc caught up with him, they stayed in Florida and saw it together! The hours we spent listening to music, and arguing about books! He was one of the few geniuses I've ever met, but refused to go down the conventional road. Women loved him, despite his wimpy frame, and just a touch of arrogance. We used to tease him because the army refused him for having weak wrists! We considered ourselves our own little family, with Bill, Toni Feckers, Mike Lang and his wife, and a couple of others. Came back to see him a couple of times after I moved to California - he had started a family - I had an earring. I know he was absolutely devoted to his kids, so my condolences to you all. He was a remarkable, remarkable person. Gene Stender

Mark and I were altar boys together at St. Mary's. Yes, that's right, he was an altar boy. I have a picture of us together with the priest, who looks like he'd like to strangle both of us! First time I smoked an illegal substance was in that priest's house - Mark might have been there... My job one time to steal some altar wine - but I dropped it in the dark behind the church and spilled it all! Mark went into Campion a year early - after scoring well enough on the entrance exam to enter as "A" class. Mar Mac may have encouraged him to try a little early. Billy and I followed the next year, and sure enough, Mark was "encouraged" to try Mar Mac again. He finally graduated from a high school down with his brother in Missouri. Mark was NOT a trouble-maker - he was just too smart and too impatient for the schools at that time. Alex, you are probably the only one who might remember me, but to all his kids - he cared about you more than he cared about anything - and he was a passionate guy!
