Robert F Kortsch

MADISON - Robert F. Kortsch, age 96, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on March 13, 1923, the son of Ferdinand and Ada Gertrude Kortsch. Robert married Oma Kortsch in 1977. He served in the U.S Marines during World War II and was recalled to service during the Korean War. Robert worked as a salesman for Keyser Automotive for over 47 years and was a trusted adviser to many people in the community. He loved hunting and always had a boat for fishing. Robert traveled a lot with his wife, Oma (Leppla) Kortsch. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Robert S. and Michael A.; grandchildren; and brother, Richard. Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stephen Kortsch; sister, Betty Long; and brothers, Tom, Dean and Lee. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
