Darlene was one of my favorite people. Such a sweet lady, she loved the color pink and it suited her. We worked together years ago at the Shopper Stopper. I will miss seeing her at the Meadows. One of the great ones has passed.

Sending prayers for the Cox family. Darlene was one of the nicest, respectful and kindest ladies I have ever known. I grew up in North Freedom and use to go to the Library alot as a teenager. I also use to visit her at her house as i grew up with her son Dean. She will defentitly be missed by all that knew her.

Mrs. Cox (I never called her by her first name) will always hold a very special place in my heart. My fondest childhood memories were spent at her house. She taught Theresa and I how to make chocolate chip cookies. How to ride a pony (Bingo), and how to hold a new born kitten. Tiger must have had twenty litters of kittens! She taught us what a work ethic was. We wanted an old banana seat bicycle that she was going to sell. She sold it to Theresa and I for $15. We worked all summer dusting and vacuuming her house to pay for that bike. We went everywhere together on that bike. Mrs. Cox was like a Mom to me growing up. Over the years I have thought of her often with great fondness. She will be missed but NEVER forgotten. To the family, you have my deepest sympathy. My hope is you reflect on all the wonderful times you had with her to ease your grief and sadness. I know I will.

Darlene helped guide me as a youngster. I was in school with Alan and as friends we did things together, but with a little warning from her to stay out of trouble and be carefull! Her kindness, understanding, and guidance will never be forgotten. My family extends our deepest condolences to her family. God bless everyone
