Thomas Stace Jones

MADISON / MIDDLETON - Thomas Stace Jones, age 83, of New Glarus, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at The Villa at Middleton Village. He was born on September 19, 1942, in Muscoda, Wis., the son of Robert Jones and Gail (Hutchison) Jones.

Tom proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a jet engine mechanic from 1964 to 1969.  He returned to Madison to raise his family. He had a successful career in the Madison area, beginning at Nygaard and Steen/ Comstock Tire on S. Park Street then as a press operator at Engineering Industries in Verona.  He opened All Seasons Service Lawn Care and Snow Removal and proudly served his customers for many years.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his family. He found solace in quiet activities in nature such as camping, especially time around a good campfire. He looked forward to annual trips to the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh. Tom gratefully had 46 years of sobriety, and he was committed to supporting others in their journey to sobriety by sharing his story and validating the stories of others. Tom also valued his independence, moments of solitude, and the pleasure of simple things like sleeping late.

Tom is survived by his sons, Stace (Amy) Jones and Steve (Cherrie) Jones; grandchildren, Spencer (Teeghan Tvedt) Jones, Aileen (Austin Hannam) Jones, Grace Jones, and Ashley Jones; great-grandchildren, Charli and Kolsen; brother, Robert (MaryAnn) Jones; and sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Masters. He was preceded in death by wife, Mary Kay Jones; parents, Robert and Gail Jones; and brother, Ray Jones.

In keeping with Tom's wishes, no services will be held.
