John R. Andersen

May I offer my deepest condolences. I only just recently came to know of John, as we both had taken a family DNA test informing us that we were 3rd cousins. John surprised me with the extensive work he’d done recording family history, opening up a side of the family that I was never aware of before. Regretably I only knew John briefly, yet his work had an impressive impact on my understanding of our family history. While I still had so many questions, I have to be grateful that he answered many. John and I never met and that’s my unfortunate loss, my health fails me but I owe John my thanks and a great deal of gratitude for his work in our family history. To: Jackie, Kathy, Jim and Families, I'm sorry I was unable to attend the visitation and service for John this past Tuesday, but extend my condolences and prayers to all of you. While I did not know John real well, I do know that your lives exemplify his love and devotion as a husband, and his role model as a father and compassion - in addition, his extraordinary veterinarian service produced tremendous advances in agricultural genetics.
