Jeanne and I went to St. James together. Her older sisters used to babysit for me. I spent many happy hours playing at her house while I was growing up. We lost track of each other for a while during high school. However we both moved to Sheboygan with our husbands [doctors] and ran into each other here and there. Our children went to high school together. She was well respected in our community and her children were wonderful athletes.

Haley, Heidi, John, Hillary, Hannah & Havalyn, I am overwhelmed with sadness to hear of this. I treasure the memories I have with your mom and all of you kids as well. The swim meets, the theater, the dance recitals, hockey games, the pool and the morning walks with your mom fill me with happy memories and lots of laughter. She was a beautiful, kind & generous soul. She has given everyone so much. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Bruns kids, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have fond memories of Jeanne taking care of me and my siblings, letting us run around the house, like it was our own. She was a kind and loving woman who will be missed dearly. I wish you the best during your time of mourning.

I’m sorry for your loss. Words can never express how much your family gave to our hockey family. On behalf of my family I pray God gives you all the strength to help you through this tough time.

The Bruns and Kennedy families, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear Mother/sister. I have truly lost my best friend. Jeannie and I were friends for many years, almost 60 years. I want to call her, laugh with her, debate with her. I will miss her so so much and I have such fond memories of just a month ago up in Door County. I am thinking of all of you and praying that we all can get through this sadness and loss of such a wonderful, beautiful, gracious woman. Jeannie, rest in peace, I love you and will miss you every day. Your friend, Debi Doyle
