My deepest and sincerest sympathies to the entire Staley family. I just stopped and visited with Arleigh last week. I had the deepest respect for him. I've got so many great memories when we were kids.I spent alot of time at the Staley home. From Betty's incredible fried egg sandwiches on Saturday mornings to Arleigh being such a great supporter of all our sports and chewing us out when he thought we had it coming. Arleigh was such a kind man.I always loved when he would yell "Hit em again Blizzard" at a football game. Truly a wonderful person that I've respected my entire life. Respectfully, Jim Blizzard" Snow

I am saddened to learn that Arleigh has passed on to the great hunting ground. I just found out yesterday and feel terrible that I was not there to say goodbye. Now he and Scott can do all the hunting, fishing, racing and sharing tall tales that they can fit into a day. Rest in Peace, my friend.
I remember walking with him at our cabin in the summer of 2014. Mother Nature had sent a tornado through Iowa County where he hunted many times. It destroyed 10 acres of beautiful pine tress when it went by my property, areas where he had sat many a cold November day waiting for the perfect buck to emerge from those trees. Arleigh, Scott, Jim Elliott and several others had helped plant those trees 30 years before. As we walked and viewed the devastation, he had tears in his eyes. That's what I loved about him. He had a rough and tough exterior, but deep down he had a heart of gold. You will be missed. Kathy Maves
