Where to begin?!?! Every time I saw or thought about Chris ... I smiled, or laughed! Maybe it was his infectious smile (like this picture) that reminded me of all of the good times, great stories, and good work that surrounded him. We often say that someone is "one of a kind", but Chris Decker was! He will be missed by so many ... but his good works will also continue through those he touched! RIP my friend! We'll see each other again someday!

Sorry to hear the news about Chris. He went to Welton Elementary school in the early 1970's before he moved to Maquoketa. His classmates from Welton School would like to send there condolences to his family. Everyone remembered him as a really nice kid with a great smile. We lost him way too young but he sure got a lot done here in this world while he was here.
