Obituary

MCFARLAND- Rose S. DiPiazza, age 101, of McFarland, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. She was born on Jan. 5, 1920, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of George and Victoria (Licali) Salerno. Rose graduated from Central High School in Madison. She married Frank DiPiazza on Nov. 29, 1941, in Madison. Rose worked various part time jobs throughout her life. She was a great cook and enjoyed reading and doing cross word puzzles. Rose taught herself to play the piano which she loved to do over the years. It was Rose’s wish to stay in her beloved home throughout her life which she was able to do with the help of her generous and kind granddaughter, Alyson. Rose is survived by her daughter, Angela (Earyl) Brabender; daughter-in-law, Tracy Jo DiPiazza; and three grandchildren, Andrea DiPiazza, Anthony (Christina) DiPiazza and Alyson DiPiazza. Rose is further survived by seven great-grandchildren, two step grandchildren, four step great-grandchildren, and her grand puppy, Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; son, Frank Andrew DiPiazza; three brothers, Frank, Vito and John Salerno; sister, Josephine Cuccia; niece, Carolyn Bonanno; two step grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Per Rose's wishes, a private family service was held at Roselawn Memorial Park. A public celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Agrace HospiceCare would be appreciated by the family.
