Kari and family. Ann and I hold you in our thoughts and prayers. Al was a special person, one of the last Madison West Lions charter members. He was always an important part o f the Lions club and he will be missed. I remember counting used eye glasses for Lions at your home with Al. I remember his important efforts at the Wingra boat races and helping with the construction of the first Wingra Boat House. Pleasant memories. I am sorry that I will be out of town during Al's service, but my thoughts will be with you all. Sincerely, Fritz and Ann Seybold

Rest easy kind sir. The Borland’s send their love and prayers to you Mrs. Cole and the whole family. Such wonderful people, and wonderful friends to our mom and dad. You both took such good care of dad after mom passed away. We will be forever grateful for your kindness and friendship shown. As dad said after Mr. Cole left after visiting one day, “He’s a class act.” You took such good care of dad, and mom when she was ill, so now I have no doubt mom is fussing over him, saying it’s her time to take care of him. Mrs . Cole we love you and send it all to you during this difficult time. Love Liz , Brian, and Brad Borland and families.

Al was my friend, my teammate on the football and wrestling teams. He always had a laugh and great support. His power as a fighter is shown with his years of fighting cancer. When Kari and Al married it was a match made in heaven. I never met a couple who loved each other more. They each supported the other with love, dedication, and friendship. I wish Kari well in her future of greaving every day and hope the great memories will help. I send Kari and family my love and good wishes in carrying on without the leader. He will be missed by all those who had the good fortune of knowing Al.
