This morning we lost our matriarch, our little family's guiding light. Nana was the perfect grandmother. She knew when to spoil us rotten and when to teach us life lessons. She was selfless, willing to give whatever she could to see someone else smile. She was nurturing. Keeper of our secrets. That little 5'5 woman had a knack for being stern in the most gentle way. All she had to say was your middle name in that particular tone and you knew it was time to straighten up. Even at the age of 30, she still put the fear of God in me with that tone.... (I'm sure Papa was on the receiving end of a few of those over their 3+ decades together) 😁 After he passed 7 days after his birthday in 1997; Nana's world was turned upside down. She loved that man, and she maintained her vow to him for her remaining 22 years on this mortal rock before joining him 7 days after her birthday. She was a beautiful woman inside and out, and all of us are better people for having been blessed by her honest advice, love, and affection. She will be sorely missed.

Tho I hadn't seen Linda for many years, I will always remember her. She and Jim were both good friends to my Mom and Dad and she will truly be missed. I still have a pair of Onyx earrings she gave me when I was in 8th grade and got my ears pierced. Light and Love to all of those she leaves behind.
