Obituary

OREGON-Gloria Jean (Henning) Kocovsky, age 70, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Aug. 4, 1948, in Madison, the daughter of Al and Lois (Fear) Henning. She married Robert Kocovsky on Sept. 27, 1969, in Madison. Gloria graduated from East High School and worked for the State of Wisconsin until the time of her retirement. She enjoyed making crafts and going to craft shows, knitting blankets and University of Wisconsin sports, especially woman's hockey. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Gloria is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Christopher (Jill) Kocovsky; daughters, Melissa Kocovsky and Michelle Kocovsky; grandsons, Ryan and Joshua; brother, David Henning; and many other family and friends that she cared for deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Lois. A Memorial Service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 3 p.m. on Saturday May 18, 2019, with Brian Schmidt presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday. A special thank you to Dr. Porter and his staff at Dean Oncology, and to the staff at Turville Bay, as well as all the doctors and nurses that cared for her at St. Mary's Hospital.
