Obituary

FITCHBURG - Sharon May Moline, age 70, of Fitchburg, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital.  She was born on May 6, 1951, in Ocean Side, N.Y., the daughter of Leland and Isabella (Blair) Barenz.


Sharon attended Rush City High School in New York. She worked for K-Mart for over 20 years. She then moved on to Working Partnerships where she helped adults with developmental disabilities live happier and more independent lives. This is where she found her true happiness. The many clients that she worked with showed how much she gave from the heart. She maintained relationships with some of her clients after leaving this job with weekly trips for a burger, shopping, walks in the park, and for one, respite care.


Sharon loved bowling in a league with her many friends who she remained close with for years. She loved cats and playing on her computer.  She was a collector of stuffed animals as well as several other items.


Sharon is survived by her longtime friend, Deanna Zarecki; roommate, Bruce Farhey; two daughters, Tammy Moline and Ann Hatcher; sisters, Isabella Young and Deborah (Mark); and brothers, Leland (Carol) Barenz and Raymond (Linda) Barenz.  She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jeanne Barenz and Shirley Barenz; and her son, Lee Moline.


A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I'm in shock. Sharon was one of the ones that I really looked forward to seeing. Whether it was band nights or volleyball or wherever she made everyone feel good, and mostly just by her infectious laugh! I'm sure she and little Angie Campbell are raising a ruckus in heaven right now. 🙂 Until we meet again dear heart.

I worked with Sharon at Working Partnerships. She was always a breath of fresh air when she would come through the door. She loved hanging out with the adults at WP. She will be greatly missed. RIP Sharon.

My sincere condolences for the family of Sharon May Moline. I worked with this beautiful soul. She & I were really close. We spent many hours together walking outside with our clients~or just staying in & goofing around. She was a hard working gal & the clients~along with myself~loved her.In my eyes she was an angel here on earth~ Rest in Peace my dear friend....
