Joyce Ann Mullarkey

Lodi - Joyce Ann Mullarkey, age 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born on October 6, 1930, in Madison, the daughter of Addison "Jack" and Margarite (Sime) Sutherland. Joyce was a 1948 graduate of Madison East High School. On Nov. 7, 1951, she married Robert Mullarkey. He preceded her in death in 1995. She was employed with the State of Wisconsin for many years until her retirement. Joyce loved spending her time with family. She always put her Kids first. Later in life Joyce raised two spoiled German Shepherds, Wolf and Lady who are waiting to greet her in heaven. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Mary (Allen) Brown and, Kathleen (Dan "Tree") Lomasney; her sons, Kevin (Lesli), and Patrick (Tammi); her daughter-in-law, Rosemary Mullarkey; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her brother, Jack (Andrea) Sutherland; and other relatives and many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her children, Margie, Michael and Sean; her brother, Rodney Sutherland; and her sister, Marjorie Uphaus. Private family services were held. The family would like to thank all the staff at Hamilton Place, Mom's second home and a special thanks to Dawn for the care, treatment, and respect of our mother.
