Bruce "Brewster" Parent

A couple fastpitch softball memories about Bruce. Bruce hated the handshake line--he said it reminded him of the end of a hockey game. So imagine our surprise after my Schultz Electric softball team got through the line with Bruce's Carodonn's team, there was Bruce wearing hockey skates! I began playing ball with the Darrow Concrete team for national ASA tournaments. Bruce was the trusted "shotgun" with his driving buddy Dave Hosking to haul our softball equipment to Cullman, Alabama. Fortunately, the "valuable" softball equipment included 20 cases of beer to be hauled to a dry county. It was around that time I was playing with the Darrow team at Middleton's Bowling Green complex and had the pleasure of playing with Bruce's son Kasey. So my sympathies go out to Kasey and his sister and mom on Bruce's passing.
