MIDDLETON-Harold Allen Bond, age 87, of Middleton, Wis., passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Heritage Middleton. He was born on Nov. 10, 1931, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Robert and Emma (Greene) Bond. Harold graduated from Chicago Vocational High School and completed one year at Iowa State Teacher's College, now UNI. He married Vivian Schmidt on March 9, 1950, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Bud worked his entire career with NIPSCO retiring in 1985. In his retirement Bud owned a small cattle farm (12 cows!) in Missouri, played golf and fished and camped with his wife, Vivian. Bud sang in Barbershop Quartets over the years. He lived a very full and active life, pursuing many interests, including self taught knitting and wood carving. Harold is survived by daughters, Marilynn Hartman and Christine (Richard) Dusk; and son, Eric Bond. Bud is further survived by seven grandchildren and spouses and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; and daughter, Nancy R. Snyder. In keeping with Bud's wishes, services will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
