Blue Mounds - Carol Jean Jenness, age 94, of Blue Mounds, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, in Mount Horeb, Wis. She was born on Sept. 8, 1926, in Black Creek, Wis., the daughter of Antone and Winnifred (Nelson) Noha.
Carol was married on Sept. 13, 1945, in Stillwater, Minn., to Claire William Jenness and enjoyed 65 years of marriage until his death in 2010. Carol was an amazing mother. Gatherings with her family were everything to Carol and filled her with joy. She enjoyed flowers, working in her gardens, doing puzzles, and going camping in her younger years with friends and family.
Carol is survived by seven of her children, Linda (Steve) Jenness-Schoenick of Belleville, Wis., Kathy (William) Teasdale of Veneta, Ore., Steve (Jodi McCaw) Jenness of Prior Lake, Minn., Paula (William) Bultman of Prior Lake, Minn., David Jenness of Columbus, Wis., Donna (James) Goyer of Cambridge, Wis., and Lori (Jeff) Cirves of Blue Mounds, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Marie; her husband, Claire Jenness; son, Michael; sister, Marian; and brothers, Wayne, Vernon, Lloyd and Marvin.
The family would like to thank Timberwood Lodge Assisted Living for their compassionate care and support.

Condolences to Carol's family. I am a meals-on-wheels volunteer for the Mt. Horeb Senior Center, and delivered meals to Carol a couple of times per week for a couple of years. Carol was one of my favorite folks to visit. She was always so pleasant, and had kind words for me.
