Norm was the most wonderful 'father figure I ever had. He was kind, funny, giving and just plain beautiful. He will always remain in my heart, as will all the Oldenburgs and families. I truly love you, Papasan. Mike Skaggs

Norm played fantasy baseball with us for years. Every year I looked forward to his company, conversation, and the gentle teasing he'd give me. Norm would also have this mischievous twinkle in his eye as he playfully cut me down to size. Such as wonderful man...

Mr. O' (I never could call him Norman) was one of the kindest, and most generous men I knew growing up. In many ways I believe he contributed to who I am today, and for that I am grateful. I was honored, and humbled that Ben contacted me last Saturday with the sad news. A wave of fond memories, and emotions flooded my heart upon hearing of his passing.I was glad to see that a memorial had been named. I have been a monthly contributor to the Wounded Warrior Project for many years. From today onward those contributions will be made in his memory. For more information about this organization go to https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/ They really make a difference in the lives of our wounded men & women returning home, and fill the gap that the VA misses. I can't think of a better way to keep Mr. O' alive in my heart. As we say in the Navy - "Fair winds, and following seas Mr. O' ,we have the watch. Bravo Zulu"

Having worked with Norm for many years, I saw him day in and day out, and have always knows him as someone you could really count on through thick and thin. Norm was one of the kindest, most generous, most interesting, and most genuine people I've ever met. He was truly an outstanding person, caring and intelligent, and he will surely be missed!
