Diane Jane Congdon

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA.-Diane Jean Congdon, age 66, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of Madison, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was born on Sept. 17, 1952, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Anna Femrite. Diane graduated from Madison La Follete High School. She was married to the love of her life, Skip Congdon, for 30 years. Diane worked as a banker for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling in her younger years, entertaining family and friends, (she played a mean game of Skippo) and spending time with her dogs. Diane is survived by husband, Skip Congdon; mother, Anna Femrite; stepsons, Sean and Christopher Congdon; grandson, Maxwell; and very dear friends, Barb (Gary) Meisel, Cindy Rogers, Dan Rogers, Ashley Rogers, and Michael Rogers. She was preceded in death by her father; and brother, David Femrite. A Memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.
