Hubert "Butch" Morris Heller

COLUMBUS-Hubert "Butch" Heller, age 77, of Columbus, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2020, at At Home Again in Columbus, Wis. He was born on Feb. 24, 1943, in Fond Du Lac, Wis., the son of Robert Heller and Leona (Freiberg) Heller. Butch graduated from Fall River High School in Fall River, Wis. and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Doris Anderson on July 25, 1987, in Madison. Butch worked as a laborer and was a member of Local No. 464 Labor Union where he served on the board for many years. He was a very hard worker and took pride in the construction jobs that he completed. Butch was an avid Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and he spent most of his time enjoying the company of his family and friends with his wife, Doris. Butch is survived by his stepson, Brad (Sara) Anderson; grandsons, Cameron Anderson and Ryan Anderson; brothers, Tex (June) Heller, Danny Heller and Elliott Heller; and sister, Margaret Brozek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; parents; brothers, Duwayne (Shelby) Heller, Robert (Dorothy) Heller, Eugene (Berniece) Heller and Wayne Heller; sister, Delores Carlin and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2020. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Memorials may be gifted in Butch’s name to the Alzheimer and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin.
