wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother-in-law. So many fabulous memories starting with being a junior bridesmaid at age 9 in his and my sister's wedding. So valued his advice as I grew up and so enjoyed his company on many, many family gatherings and trips. John and I relish all the years we visited in Keystone CO. A very generous and loving man. Great rivalry between Wisconsin Badgers and Penn State Lion. Claudia and John Brown

Ron was my first boss (district director) when I started my career with Wisconsin DOT in June of 1971. When DOT decided they needed to send 2 young engineers from Madison to Green Bay, I was 1 of 4 he interviewed for this move and I told him I couldn't go because I was getting married in 2 months and my wife to be was still in college at UW. He understood and sent 2 of the young bachelor engineers instead. Ron was a gentleman and consummate professional. RIP sir.

Joni and family; our most heartfelt sympathies to you and family members. Ron was a gentleman and class act as a public servant and professional engineer. As a fellow cabinet member serving with Ron, I had the highest regard for his integrity and work ethic. He was always pleasant, upbeat and prepared. The State of Wisconsin could not have asked for a better person to serve as leader of DOT. We are so sorry to read of Ron’s passing and will miss his friendship. Mark and Kate Bugher
