Bill was one of the most fun, upbeat, generous, kind, big-hearted, creative guys out there. What a tragic loss. He is gone too soon and will be missed by so many. He brought a smile to everyone he knew. Rest in peace, Bill. You were a wonderful person and the world is a little less bright without you in it.

I had Bill as a student in the Commercial Art program at MATC in the 80s. He was a wonderful sweet guy with an unswervingly positive demeanor and a great collegial attitude towards his peers. He used to return every year to see the portfolios of the new grads and was always complimentary and encouraging. This is a very sad loss for the community and his family.

I did not know Bill personally, except that he was the older brother of my daughter's (Anita Chavera Herrick) best friend Julie, who was the maid of honor in Anita's wedding. My husband, Raymond, and I were friends of Bill's mother Elizabeth and her friend, Daniel Acheson. Ray and I wish the very best for Bill's mother and will be giving a donation to the Humane Society in Bill's name. Marilyn Chavera

Bill, Sr - My condolences to you. I remember you speaking often and highly of your son. It's clear that you were really proud of him. I'm so sorry for your loss. Seeing other's comments, I see that the world has lost a fine person, but I also believe that no one fine is ever gone. They continue on in each person who knew and loved him and each person whose life he touched with humor or kindness.
