A great and supportive teacher, who I remember fondly all these years later. Even sent me a card when I graduated from High School, seven years later. She will have left a lasting legacy, which is as much as most can hope for.

As one of her 5th Grade students at Sherman Elementary School in the mid-70s, I fondly remember her, respected her, and still recall the gift I gave her on the last day of 5th the brightened her day so much.

Ms. Schneider taught all three of our children in the 5th grade at Shorewood Elementary School over a period of ten years. She knew how to reach each one of them and gave them a warm and firm educational foundation. She was a gifted educator and our family was fortunate to have known her .

Berneice and I were teaching colleagues at Sherman Elementary School in the 1970's. I was a relatively new teacher and she was a very experienced teacher. My first assignment at Sherman was to share a classroom of 50 students with Berneice. I was very nervous, but it turned out to be one of my fondest teaching experiences. Berneice was extremely organized, knew her subject matter thoroughly, and seemed to know what every child needed. She set high expectations and kids just seemed to perform. I learned so many methods from her that I carried.. throughout my 34 years of teaching. Thank you, Berneice. I am forever grateful to you.
