Donald Robert Duerst

STOUGHTON-Donald Robert Duerst, age 80, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Nazareth Health and Rehab. He was born on July 11, 1938, in New Glarus, the son of Ed and Dorothy (Sabroff) Duerst. Donald was a graduate of New Glarus High School. He was united in marriage to Donna K. Albright on Feb. 5, 1966. Donald worked for Uniroyal for many years before his retirement. He enjoyed cheering on the Brewers, reading about history and spending time with his family. Donald is survived by his sons, Theodore "Ted" (Ashley) Duerst, Dan Duerst, and David Duerst; nine grandchildren, Ianna, Triena, Elijah, Eastyn, Maquan, Kasyn, Ellyeana, Dan and Neveah Duerst; sister, Pam (Phillip) Cox; sister-in-law, Barbara Disch; special friend and cousin, Kenny Sabroff; and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed; his mother, Dorothy; step-father, Maynard Disch; wife, Donna; and brother, Jerry Disch. In keeping with Don's wishes, no service will be held.
