Obituary
Fitchburg-Richard Leo Manion, age 65, of Fitchburg, passed away Unexpectedly at home of natural causes on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Kristine A. Manion; brother, Bill (Betsy) Manion; brothers-in-law Steve Meyer, Bob (Mary Ann) Meyer, Keith (Deb) Meyer, and Kevin Meyer; and many nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and JoAnne (Crowley) Manion. A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Avenue, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019. Visitation will be held at church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. I now live in Canada after 8 years in Madison. Dick was kind and gracious to me and my wife, Glenda, when we first arrived in Madison from Vancouver, B.C. He cooked for a couple of parties of the Blue Moon gang at our our home. Many fond memories. My sincere condolences.

Dick I’ll miss you! My mother and his mom were very good friends. I loved Dick’s family and spent time with them. I served mass with Dick for Father Leo at St. Mary’s Hospital when we were I. 7th and 8th grades. So many good memories!
