Tim A Schlobohm
July 30, 1958 - December 11, 2018
Obituary
MADISON-Timothy Allen “Tim” Schlobohm, age 60, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, at St. Mary's Hospital.
He was born on July 30, 1958, in Madison, the son of Lennes and Barbara (Kearney) Schlobohm. Tim went to LaFollette High School but would claim he graduated from the school of hard-knocks. He married Nicole Siclovan on Oct. 5, 1991, in Columbus. He served in the U.S. Navy. Tim was the
owner of Schlobohm Excavating and an international day trader. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, cooking, eating, trap shooting, golfing, and riding his golf cart around the hood visiting with neighbors.
He was an extremely hard-working, intelligent, creative, and generous man. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, which would likely be a neon yellow Schlobohm Excavating t-shirt. Once you met Tim you would never forget him, as he was quite the character. He will truly be missed by everyone.
Tim is survived by his wife, Nicole; son, Jacob; daughters, Alexis and Angela; canine companion, Mandi "Dawg"; brothers, Len (Jody), Greg, and Mike (Mary); sisters, Anneve (John) and Cheryl (Kevin); step-mother, Mariellen; mother-in-law, Ginnie Siclovan; many nieces and nephews; and his best friends and neighbors, Pam Treige and Dave Stark. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve; and father-in-law, Jerry Siclovan.
A Celebration of Tim’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at noon, on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, with the Rev. Sandra Schieble presiding. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.

So many memories. A lot of posts on Nicole's fb wall saying that Tim was "one of a kind". He truly was. One of my first memories of Tim, I was in my backyard one morning with my baby monitor on. All of a sudden I hear this voice singing a lullaby over the monitor. Of course it scared me for a second, then I realized I knew that voice. I sat and listened to him singing to either Angela or Lexi for quite some time. I thought to myself, what a wonderful dad. In time, we didn't need to hear him through a baby monitor, you could just hear him singing when he was out in his yard!! He definitely will be missed in the neighborhood.

WOW , Where do I start . We moved out of the neighborhood just over a month ago ' Spiess family ' NEVER EXPECTED THIS . TIM lived across the street , the family moved in in 1991 LONG time ago. Threw the years have become good neighbors , friends, each others helpers in times of need ! He was always willing and their to help in times of need . An ear if needed , A spiritual up lift the man new GOD'S WORD . Was a leader in providing neighborhood gathering. Always had 4 of July party all were asked and expected to at least show up to share in the festivities. Will always remember the sound of his Farmer blows as he exited the house , the loud rolling chuckle of his laugh !!! Him hollering over hello SUSIE ,him coming home from shopping almost every day with the food he was going to prepare for the next meal , he loved to cook, eat ,the company of others With Tim as a neighbor very seldom needed to shovel snow , believe he helped almost every one in the neighborhood with that chore . He could operate machinery like no one else I ever watched. A true brother in CHRIST !! A MAN I'M ' WE ' are very saddened by his passing, he truly had a passion for LIFE . Our heart aches for the family and friends for he will truly be missed . LORD PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILD for he is back in your hands . Susie & Ray Spiess

Tim really has been a fantastic neighbor and will truly be missed. He made Emily and I feel so completely welcomed when we were new in the neighborhood. I'll miss hearing him singing as he rode through the neighborhood in his golf cart, or stopping to say hello when I was out working in the yard, and always leaving on such a positive note, too! And I can not adequately express how much I genuinely appreciated him coming and plowing our driveway out when we got that really wet, heavy snow, too!!! I remember one day, in particular, last winter when I woke up to find we had been "blessed" with tons of snow overnight, and I found myself wondering/stressing about how much time and energy I truly had to go tackle the driveway before leaving for work (knowing I didn't truly have enough of either of those things). I went out and started with the front step and small walkway up to our front door, and it turns out that's all I had to worry about. I just about started crying (out of sheer relief and genuine appreciation) when I saw him coming down the driveway in his bobcat, clearing the snow and seeming happy to do it, too! It made my whole day, I tell ya! Rest in peace, Tim! You were (and still are) a real gem, and heaven surely just got a whole lot brighter when you got there, too! You'll continue to be loved and appreciated, by everyone's life that you've touched while you were here with us.

I was shocked to learn of Tim's passing. My prayers go out to his family at their unexpected loss. Tim and I were neighbors since 1996. The first time I met him I was doing yard work in the morning and Tim comes over with 2 cups of coffee and introduces himself. He was a great neighbor and a kind man. He would do anything for anybody. I'll miss our conversations about life and politics. He was one of the smartest men I have ever met. He could design and build anything. He designed and built his own swimming pool for his family, friends and neighbors to enjoy. He even designed and built a wood burning swimming pool heater that amazed me how much hot water that heater put out. I'll miss Tim and the neighborhood just wont be the same without him. I believe he is home at peace now with our heavenly father.
