Lee Mathew Kelter

BLACK EARTH-Lee Mathew Kelter, age 85, of Columbus, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Fountain Head Homes in DeForest. He was born on April 26, 1933, in Black Earth, the son of Hubert and Norma (Kahl) Kelter. Lee met and married Margaret Kelter in Black Earth and together they had one son, Mathew. He worked for Oscar Mayer for 30 years before retiring to focus on farming at the family homestead. Lee enjoyed gardening and farming, and racing horses. He was a simple man who liked nothing more than sharing a drink with his friends and watching sports. Lee is survived by his wife, Margaret; son, Mathew (Kevin Bormett) Kelter; six grandchildren; his siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
