John was my first and best friend since moving to Madison. I was proud to have him accept the responsibility of being the godfather of my three children . An obligation he took seriously and never failed to give support to my children as they traversed their way to adulthood. He was always there for them even when he traveled to other parts of the country. John was an inspiration to me with the selfless love of Christ he showed.

John was a good friend. He was always ready to help with advice, assistance or a ride to the airport at 4 in the morning. We met playing games a couple decades ago, and we were playing together regularly until now. He will be missed.
