Mary was a kind neighbor. I loved her spirit. I am very sorry that she was taken so early and by such a dreadful disease.

Please accept my most sincere sympathy. Mary Carol's family did an excellent job with writing her obituary. Such a beautiful tribute for a beautiful soul. Janie Ripple-Kreis

Our hearts go out to the Boyle and Ripple families. Our father was in residence with Mary while at Heritage Memory Care. We enjoyed talking and walking with Mary, and my mother and I visited Mary at her new residence, where she seemed content. Our hearts are heavy for all of you.

As her 10-years younger sister, Mary Carol ALWAYS made me feel welcome, special, loved, and not at all in the way. Even as a teenager whatever she was doing, whoever she was with, she often took me along and made me a part of it. She took me to movies, to Vilas Beach, to fairs and children's attractions. How lucky and blessed was I to have Carol as my sister. As I got older I realized, seeing her kindness to my own children and to all children, that I wasn't really special after all; she treated ALL children with the same kind of love, always having a huge smile for them and sharing in their silliness. And she treated adults too, and all people she met, to the same kind of smiling, jovial, energizing friendliness that was her hallmark. She was a treasure and a light, who I will greatly miss.

I went to high school with Mary at Edgewood but have not seen her since college. She was such a pretty, young woman with a sunny disposition. A joy to encounter and pleasant to have with; an authentic, good soul. Now she no longer has our earthly pain and sorrow but has all that is promised. Classmate, class of 1971.
