Obituary
Lodi-Kenneth D. Ausman, age 95, of Lodi, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on December 27, 1922, in Lodi, WI, the son of Gust and Daisy (Cross) Ausman. After graduating from Lodi High School, Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the eras of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War retiring after 21 years of service in 1967. He married Lucille Schmitt on September 29, 1945 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She preceded him in death in 2001. After his retirement from the Air Force, Ken was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as a rural carrier in Lodi area. Ken had a talent of being able to fix anything and showed his skills by building his own home and a sportscar kit. He also enjoyed the outdoors but loved most spending time with his family. Kenneth is survived by his two daughters, Patricia (Riley) Frazier and Sandra Olson; three grandchildren, Valerie (Ray Keiser) Frazier, Renee (Stephen) Miller and Jason (Nicki Tormey-Pruitt) Frazier; five great-grandchildren, Stephanie Peterson and Jared, Samantha, Stephen and Summer Miller; and his great-great grandson, Bentley Vaughn. In addition to his wife Lucille, he was preceded in death by his parents; his son, David; his sister and brother-in-law June and Rollin Andersen, and his son-in-law Thomas E. Olson. I'm saddened to hear of Kenneth's passing. He was my 1st cousin. I enjoyed visiting him with our cousin Joann Facklam through the years. He loved to laugh and talk about the "good old days" We exchanged note off and on and he always started his note out with the sentence "hope your bones are good". He will be missed as there aren't many first cousins left from the family.

My mother Candice Nelson (Candi) is saddened to hear of his passing,she really enjoyed going with JoAnn Facklam to see Kenneth,she really was wanting to go see him again but sadly her health jst wouldnt allow it. Her and JoAnn will really miss the visits and talking abt the good ole days,they really enjoyed and valued their times with Kenneth. His passing is a great loss to our family.
